SIR LANKA - WILD AND UNTAMED
Colombo, Galle, Yala, Uda Walawe National Park, Kandy
Day 1 - Colombo
We meet you at the airport to transfer to the 4 star Casa Colombo where you have time to relax after your flight. We meet for a late breakfast and in the afternoon make our first trip….To the fort area and visit the Dutch Hospital and old town. then we visit the largest market in Sri Lanka, Pattad Market, A busy none stop hive of traders and shoppers from all over the Island
Day 2 - Galle - Dutch Fort
After breakfast taken on the veranda we head to Galle, traveling along the beautiful coast road. Galle is the most impressive fort town in Sri Lanka with its collection of Dutch-Colonial buildings. We explore the old walls and streets along with the working community.
We stay at the tradicanal Abaliya Villa in the centre of Fort. We see the stilt fishermen in the bays along the coast and fishermen returning to the beaches by boat.
Day 3-7 Yala National Park & Bundala National Park
Yala National Park has the largest concertration of Leopards any-where in the world. Our safaris will be in elevated 4x4 jeeps giving great viwes for shotting the “Big Game” Leopard, Elephant, Sloth Bear, Wild Boar, Buffalo, Mongooses and Crocs as well as over 130 species of birds. We have morning and afternoon game drives with the emphasis on elephants and leopards.
The base for our 4 nights at Yala will be at one of the worlds leading eco-lodge’s,
The 5 star Jetwing hotel…Where you have time to relax swapping the odd tall tale at the poolside.
We have 6 safari drives here in the park. We spend our final morning on safari in the Bundala National Park then head to Uda Walawe National Park.
Day 7 - 8 Uda Walawe National Park
Uda Walawe National Park is home to around 600 wild elephants along with boffalo and the possibility of leopard. Its not uncommon to see entire heards of 50+ elepants in this park. We have 2 safari drives here in the park.
We over night at Saliya De Alwis, A boutique lodge.
Day 8 - 9 Ella
Ella…The heart of the stunning hill country. As the fourth largest producer of tea globally, it comes as no surprise that the rolling hills of Sri Lanka's southern central region are known as Tea Country. The charming tea estates and plantations date back to the 1800's, Each one with views out across the beautiful landscape.
We embark on a stunning journey through the Heart of Sri Lanka and experience the many highlights to be found within the island’s interior. We rattle and roll with tea-pickers on the slow train to Haputale..
Day 9 -10 Kandy
The easy going capital of the hill country, On our journey to Kandy we pass dramatic peaks and slopes covered in carefully manicured tea plantations, whose neatly trimmed bushes add to the toy-like quailty of the landscape. We photograph Kandy Lake and its passing monks, The Royal Palace of Kandy & The Temple of the Tooth
Day 11 Colombo
We return to Colombo and trasfer to the airport for your return flight.

Blending in perfectly with its surrounding, the big cat is almost invisible, Yet the absences of tigers in Sri Lanka makes for a leopard with real attitude. Confident, Leopard's will stroll in the open by day, A photograthers delight. The Majestic elephant moves with steady deliberation, Large wild hurds can be seen in Uda Walawe National Park. 2 x Safari. The third must-see is the Sri Lanka Sloth Bear. These shaggy and shuffling black bears may be seen loping around in daylight and are endemic to Sri Lanka.
